Setup.

Setting up my classroom is never simple.  Packing up the entire contents of my old classroom, moving it, and then unpacking it, oh, and then setting up my new classroom in a new school is just, well downright overwhelming.

Luckily, with a little help from my friends (thank you Karen, Jamie, and Dave) I’m on the right track.  As I stand in the middle of the room, looking around, looking at lists, looking at my feet, and thinking, go here, no go there, no wait, what was I doing again, this silly thought came to me:

So there you have it.  With any luck, I will begin crossing off more items on my To Do list than I’m writing and begin to be done.  Yeah, right.

I love this! I feel the same way. LIke you , thanks to a friend I was able to get focused and get almost done setting up my classroom. She gave me good advice, start in one area and if I didn’t know what to do with something, put it on one table. As I got other tables cleaned off and more things put away I felt better. Now all I have is that table and my library. Then, comes the planning. I had to move from one room to another this year and that required packing and then unpacking my whole room, much like yourself. I just didn’t change builindings. Good luck and I am sure you will be ready for your sprouts!

That is super funny. That is totally me! Some teachers are done in a day, it takes me like 3 days with the help of my own kids! lol
