Mar 25After the following video was brought to my attention, I shared it with friends and colleagues. I’ve watched it a few times and I can’t stop thinking about it… we all know that play is crucial, critical, and required for the development of our sprouts, but here there is research, actual scientific stuff to show what we already knew was true. It’s always good to have ammunition in the fight for play, so here is some super stuff.
I see so many of my munchkins coming to me without knowing “how” to play! It breaks my heart! One of the things I love about teaching in a private environment is that we can play and we do! It’s so hard teaching a 5/6 year old the art of play when they haven’t been exposed to it. Just this week with the beautiful weather we went outside and played because we are 5/6 year olds and we need to play a lot! I’ll get to my curriculum this week that we missed last week
